The Effect of a Proposed Weight Training Program on Muscular Endurance and the Performance of Certain Basic Skills Among Football Players During the Competition Period

Abstract

     This research aims to investigate the impact of a proposed weight training program during competitions on muscular endurance and basic skill performance of football players. The study also seeks to identify the effect of the program on increasing muscular strength.
Methodology
     The researcher used an experimental approach with a sample of 25 players from Bank Al Ahli Club under 19 years old. Pre- and post-measurements were applied for physical and skill tests after implementing a 10-week weight training program.
Results
     The results showed significant improvements in physical performance and skill level. Statistically significant differences were found between pre- and post-measurements in favor of post-measurements, indicating improvements in muscular strength, endurance, and physical task performance.
