Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of using cross-training to develop some individual physical and skill variables for players in special groups in football, the researchers used the experimental approach with an experimental design with one experimental group using pre- and post-measurements, due to its suitability to the nature of the research, (20) players were chosen intentionally as a basic sample (one experimental group) from the special categories (North Sinai football team players for the deaf and dumb), in addition to selecting a number of (10) players from the same research community and outside the basic sample as a reconnaissance sample, and participants in the Youth Centers Football League for the Deaf and Dumb for all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the sports season 2023 AD - 2024 AD, and the research was applied during the training season 2023 AD - 2024 AD, in the period from 12/11/2023 AD to 4/1/2024 AD, (8) weeks and (4) weekly training units on days (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), one of the most important results of the research is that the cross-training program has a positive and statistically significant effect at the level of (0.05) on the physical variables (muscular ability - agility - transitional speed - respiratory cyclic endurance), and on the individual skill variables (passing accuracy - shooting accuracy - running with the ball - controlling the ball) among players of special groups in football, the percentages of improvement in physical variables range between (12.23% - 18.81%), and in individual skill variables range between (8.27% - 40.65%) among players in special groups in football, the researchers recommend the necessity of using the cross-training program because of its positive impact on the individual physical and skill variables among players in special groups in football, and conducting more scientific studies on special groups, the importance of using the cross-training program for all different age stages (seniors - juniors - first team).
