The effect of using an interactive e-book for the practical education course on improving teaching skills and the level of student teacher performance in the physical education lesson and students’ attitudes towards the interactive e-book

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of an interactive e-book on improving teaching skills and the performance level of student teachers in the physical education lesson of the practical education course prescribed for second-year students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Boys - Helwan University.
The researcher used the experimental method using the quasi-experimental design for two groups, one experimental and the other control, using pre- and post-measurement due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The researcher selected the research sample intentionally from the second-year students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Boys - Helwan University, sections of (11:20) and their number is (400) students. The size of the sample used in the research was (75) students, and the size of the basic experimental and control sample was (50) students divided into two groups, the first experimental.
The most important conclusions were that the proposed e-book contributed to changing the students’ view of e-courses and their fear of using them, which was what the students showed in the attitude scale. The most important recommendations are to conduct more reference studies similar to this study at different age levels to confirm the impact of the interactive e-book on different age and academic levels.
