The effect of these fartlek trainings on developing speed endurance in 100m freestyle junior swimmers

The complex physical ability (speed endurance) which consists of two abilities, speed and endurance, is one of the most important physical abilities for this game, especially in 100m swimming, in addition to the rest of the abilities, in which an effort is made for a long period of time resisting signs of fatigue, hence the importance of this research appears in choosing the speed endurance trait as an important and basic trait for the effectiveness of the 100m freestyle and using the fartlek training method in developing this trait, or the problem of the research was that there was a focus on training methods without others in the sport of swimming, so the researcher saw the use of this method in developing speed endurance, while the goal of the research was to identify the effect of fartlek training in developing speed endurance for 100m freestyle swimmers aged 14-16 years. The research sample is a group of young players aged (14-16) years representing Al-Salam Sports Club for the 2023-2024 season. The research results indicated that there is an effect of varsity exercises on the development of swimming endurance in the 100-meter freestyle.
