The effect of an educational program using the Sackman model on learning some handball skills and critical thinking for female students of the Faculty of Physical Education

Abstract

This research aims to try to design an educational program using the Sackman model and know its effect on:
. Learning some handball skills (bouncing - whipping pass - shooting). 1
. Developing critical thinking skills. 2
The researcher used the experimental method due to its suitability to the nature of this research using the experimental design for two groups, one experimental and the other control, following the pre- and post-measurements for each of them. The research community is represented by the first-year female students at the Faculty of Physical Education, Minya University, with a total of (1400) one thousand and four hundred female students for the academic year 2023/2024 AD, the second semes The researcher selected a random sample of (60) sixty female students. The sample was divided into two equal groups, each consisting of (30) thirty female students: an experimental group that used the educational program using the Sackman model under investigation, and a control group that used the traditional program in the same variables under investigation, during the period from Monday 2/26/2024 to Tuesday 4/16/2024. The most important results were the superiority of the students of the experimental group, which used the educational program using the Sackman model, over the students of the control group in learning handball skills and developing critical thinking skills under investigation.
